Our Activities

Weekday Fellowship

  • Bible Study Group

Monday 6:30-8:15 PM, at 305 Crown Street (ECY Office)

During Lent this year, Bible study will focus on the Passion story, as told in the four Gospels.  For the first three weeks, we'll take a closer look at three prominent characters -- Barabbas, Pontius Pilate and Peter -- who appear in each Gospel account.  Then, on the Monday of Holy Week, we'll ask the question at the heart of the Passion story: what do we mean when we say that Jesus "saves" us?   We will conclude on Easter Monday with a look at the post-Resurrection stories in the Gospel of John.

The schedule will be as follows:

    March 2 - Barabbas
    March 23 - Pontius Pilate
    March 30 - Peter
April 6 - What exactly do we mean by "salvation"?
April 13 - Stories of Forgiveness: Resurrection in John
